david_wright amp Tech 21 Guitar Amp this amp has a total tube vibe without tubs and really cranks, you can get lots of great sounds with this, guitar Warmoth quality parts guitar Nick Named "Blondie", by wife. Used for solos on "Falls Dance", "Chess" and other random parts on the Dajinosaurus album. The neck was made for valley arts Guitars but never picked up, it is a ebony fretboard on birdseye maple, (easy to get that legato thing going on) The body is curly maple top on swamp ash body. A Duncan 59 in bridge, Dimarzio single in middle and duncan (?) in neck ]. Nice two point Wilkinson Tremelo),guitar G&L Tribute Used on ImrpovII, ILD head, other random parts on the Dajinosaurus Album. Equiped with Roland GK3 pickup, The intonation is very good on this guitar I use it as my midi guitar controller, this is the rhoads and strings on ILD and GC (using hypersonic or sample tank for sound generation from the Djinosaurus album, guitar BC Rich/Ibanez/Fender Guitar
I just call it the "Purple 'Jazz' Guitar"
used on anything 'jazzy' souding on the Dajinosaurus Album, also used exclusivly on the Roar! album (by Dinosaurus). Oddly enough this is my most jazz sounding guitar, used for solos on "Tears for friends" and "intro to bedtime", also on other parts, volume swells, etc. From The Dajinosaurus Album. (It was a 'cheapie' BC Rich that I bought from Daddy's Junky Music, while I lived in Boston, the one on Comonwealth Avenue, accross from Berklee, I tried to scallop the neck at some point (can you say Yngwie) but failed, luckily I found an 1980 Japanese Strat neck and put it on. IT has a huge radius neck but it's thin and feels good. I also 'screwdriver' modified the fron pickup from a single to double coil to fit my favorite Bill Lawrence pickup in front. (please don't try this at home,... I was broken, young and el stupideo)) I really love the sound of this particular Lawrence pickup, it's about 20 years old, the new ones don',guitar Palmer (strat copy - I've never heard of them and cant find any info via a search engine)
a.k.a The Red Kitty Strat, obviously, my wife names my guitars. Used on 'ILD' and 'Early Phrase' slos and 'This To This To' the whole track from the Dajinosaurus Album. (This guitar was a total find. I love the sound and feel, It totally has that strat 'pop' (to my ears anyway), it was the best value I've ever had in a guitar [not including the G&L Tribute and The Ibanex Artcore AS73! - wow] I bought it 'blind' off ebay and paid under $200 USD It was for fun, for the 'guaranteed genuine alder body' but it ended up actually being a quality instrument!,guitar 1986 japanese strat, it's my practice guitar - put nice heavy strings on it to work our with. nick named the 'blue kitty strat'. Bought at http://www.30thstreetguitars.com in NYC A great guitar shop in nyc by the way, Matt is very cool and a great repairman, guitar Ibanex Artcore AS73 Guitar, my new favorite, I cant say enough good things about this guitar, bought it used for $275. I also played a Epiphone Dot but didn't like it, neck was too thick, hard for me (a strat player) to move around on. The Artcore is a very playable guitar, nice thin neck, great sound, great intonation, and it's actually pretty too, beautiful finish (my wife actualy thinks it's pretty) an amazing value! Well done Ibanez! |
